The compact is matte black, with “GLAM UP” in black but shiny black on the front along the side. It looks and feels nice and durable. There’s a mirror inside. The mirror didn’t have any kind of plastic covering it (the kind that’s usually stuck on mirrors that you peel off). My mirror is completely scratched up. A LOT of scratches, some pretty big (see my photos, I tried to show the scratches as best as I could). Even without a protective cover, I don’t understand how it would have gotten all scratched up like that. It’s not like the mirror was on the outside and could have rubbed against something during shipment. It’s not like there was anything inside the compact that would have scratched the mirror. There’s not even a powder puff inside that could have scratched the mirror (you know how the one side of the powder puffs usually have like satin or even a little part to hold on to, sometimes the fabric used could potentially scratch a mirror). Anyways, I don’t get how the mirror became so scratched up being brand new, being inside a compact, and coming with its own outer box. So I don’t like that at all. Makes me wonder why and where it was open to get so many scratches?The bronzer itself is nice. I was really surprised there only being one shade “for all skin types.” It kind of made me worried it would be far too dark for my pale skin, but it didn’t look like it was too dark so I figured I’d try it. I’m glad I did because it works for my skin tone and I I do like it a lot. I don’t see how this color would work for “all skin types.” By that I guess they mean like oily, dry, normal, mature? They couldn’t possibly mean all skin tones. But, if they don’t mean all skin tones, then I don’t see it working for skin tones darker than light to medium. Even for medium skin tones I think you’d have to build this up, so it just depends on whether you would want to do the extra work to build it up when there’s other bronzers in the same price range that work just as well but have more shade options. So I think it would be nice if they had other color options.The product photos make it look way more warm toned, orange type, than it is. It’s definitely warmer, not cool toned, but not orange. It isn’t too pigmented right away, so I can work with it. When you dip your brush in, the product goes onto it easily enough but it doesn’t pick up too much product, and it goes onto the skin nicely and blends easily. I like that it’s not overly pigmented, so you can’t really go wrong with it. It gives me a nice sun kissed look.Overall, I think it’s a beautiful bronzer. I am fair skinned, so I don’t really know how well this shade would work for anyone with darker skin tones. I don’t see how this color would work for “all skin types.” But, if you’re fair skinned like me or light to medium skin tone, this would work for you well. If you’re medium to darker skin, I don’t see this being a great bronzer, I feel like you’d definitely need to build this up, but I can’t say for sure. The bronzer works well. Blends beautifully and isn’t overly pigmented, but pigmented enough to give a nice, easy, sun kissed look without effort. It’s a good price, the same kind of pricing as other bronzers I love (even my favorite drug store bronzer). So, I think this is a good choice. I took off a star for the scratched up mirror because I just don’t see how that happened.
